Hello all,
It has been about a month since I wrote to you about my first class on the 12th of March. We gathered in a room kindly offered by the pastoral community committee, and seven people came together. The class went well because we talked to each other. Of course, there were some things that needed improvement, but I was very happy to launch the course with the name Ficus Digital. For my blog readers who are curious about the first class, I will outline what we did on that day.
Thinking about the modular design concept, I arranged the elements of the course as follows. Each module is loosely interlaced with one another while they are also useful as a separate unit.
- View a slideshow telling who I am and what I look for during my course.
- Watch a short self-made film using SimplyShow about how elderly people learn with their smartphones.
- Display a sample file holder sized of A6 in which every class note is collected.
- Continue the presentation to get to know our smartphones inside and outside.
- Present a few apps like Simply Piano.
- Discuss with class participants about their questions and wishes.
- Make a memo of almost everything done and spoken.
I will deal with the class topic of "What is our smartphone?" in a separate blog. In the meantime, I am happy to announce that our next meeting takes place on Saturday, April 15th, at the same place (in the room Franziskus at the Stift Rein) and the same time (9 am - 10 am), but with new topics - we will talk about QR Codes and data. Everybody is welcome to join!
See you soon!
